Best Practice: Masterminds
Chapter: NAWBO Lakeland
Contact: Maria Mahoney, maria@mahoneygroupinc.com
Goal: Looking to help NAWBO Lakeland members become stronger business owners and to give them a place to discuss business issues, the chapter created a program called Masterminds.
Implementation: To implement Masterminds, NAWBO Lakeland divides their membership into small groups. These groups consist of five or six individuals from non-competing businesses. The groups meet monthly to discuss issues and create each other's small board of directors. An important element to the success of these groups is maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Results: NAWBO Lakeland’s Mastermind program helps to strengthen both the members of the groups and their businesses.
