Chapter: NAWBO Orlando
Contact: Diane Sears, diane@di-vese-media.com
Goal: To create a buzz about your Chapter that attracts corporate sponsors and new members, NAWBO Orlando started reaching out to other local organizations and found it to be quite beneficial.
Implementation: To lure corporate sponsors and more members to their chapter, NAWBO Orlando started to watch the media for stories about individuals and organizations that were starting or operating initiatives. Chapter members then contacted those people and asked if NAWBO could be of assistance to them.
Results: NAWBO Orlando discovered that reaching out to the community and volunteering to partner with other local organizations is an excellent way to create a buzz about their chapter. The buzz that they created turned out to help them attract corporate sponsors and new members. They also discovered that reaching out helped their members to be appointed to various organizations’ Boards of Directors.
